With its
headquarters based in Abuja, FCT, STILL WATERS staff members,
technical associates and volunteers develop and facilitate a diverse
range of programmes that are delivered nation-wide, especially in
grassroots communities. These include: |

Special
Initiatives and Projects: STILL WATERS regularly
undertakes special initiatives to respond to the needs within its
parent-church and local communities. Example include Sustainable
Health Initiative for Community Enhancement (SHICE).

Targeted Trainings: Specialist
training geared toward professional people working with HIV/AIDS
issues are organized and delivered each year in STILL WATERS
communities. For example, training of health workers in Qua Iboe
Church/United Evangelical Church Health facilities on HIV Stigma
Reduction and HIV Counselling and Testing, leadership training for
Pastors and other church policymakers, training of children and
youth workers and women as guardians of family and community
reproductive health.

Forums: STILL WATERS convenes
forums at all levels of its service delivery to encourage the
involvement of community/beneficiaries in monitoring and evaluating
their own projects. This is very critical for STILL WATERS and the
communities it serves, as meaningful findings from such forums help
to inform future programming and strengthen responses. The forums

Technical Assistance:
STILL WATERS delivers capacity building and technical assistance to
churches and community-based groups nationwide to strengthen and
scale-up their ability to fight the HIV/AIDS epidemic in their
communities.

Publications and
On-line Content: STILL WATER's publications are
informational and educational materials that address variety of
issues related to HIV/AIDS, and targeted at individuals (both youth
and adults), churches, organizations and communities. These may be

National
Conferences: Encouraging and engaging women, youth
and men as key players in the fight against HIV/AIDS is critical for
STILL WATERS. As such, the organization from 2007 will be convening
an annual national AIDS conference to mark world AIDS day, for youth
and adult participants from across Nigeria.

Policy Advocacy and Dialogue: STILL WATERS is
dedicated to promoting sound HIV/AIDS policies and programmes that
are responsive to the health and social needs of the diverse
communities of United Evangelical Church and others in Nigeria.
