STILL WATERS
views volunteering as an opportunity to engage with community
members in a mutually beneficial relationship. Volunteers contribute
to our mission by performing a variety of tasks that enable us to
accomplish a broader range of goals. In exchange, we seek to teach
new skills and build upon existing skills that volunteers can apply
to their personal and professional lives.
Thank you to all the volunteers affiliated with STILL WATERS, past,
present and future. Your contribution makes our success possible!

STILL WATERS works
at the grassroots where there is a dearth of AIDS information and
services. By fostering innovative, local solutions to stop the
spread of HIV/AIDS and mitigate its impact, STILL WATERS is directly
working with local churches and communities, contributing to the
Nigerian AIDS policy priority, to combat the epidemic and achieve
the MDGs at grassroots levels. We invite you to join us to
accomplish this. |
|
Advocacy -
Join the Advocacy
team. Assist with organizational oversight, strategic planning,
fundraising, etc. Board meets quarterly and members are expected to
volunteer some extra time between meetings. Leadership experience,
strong written and verbal communication skills preferred. Experience
with fundraising for non-profits is extremely helpful. |

Funds Mobilisation -
Join the
Fundraisers. STILL WATERS is in need of people in all walks of life
to generate funding
possibilities by engaging them in various fundraising tasks,
preparation of grant proposals and mobilising funds through friends,
families, churches, organizations and donors. |

Event Planning and Coordination
- Purpose
Driven Youth, Holistic Outreach Teams (HOT) and Community Strength
are events mobilising community members and churches to express love
in meaningful ways, such as HIV awareness raising, resource
mobilisation for orphans, peer education, widows and PLWHA support,
stigma reduction seminars and advocacy, as part of the healing
process for a healing community. Women, children, youth and men and
their allies are key players and beneficiaries of these community
focused and driven initiatives. Whatever skills and experience you
have, they will contribute immensely to saving the lives of many. |
